History of Stratmoor, CO
Stratmoor, commonly known as Stratmoor Hills, is an unincorporated community in El Paso County, Colorado. It is part of the Colorado Springs Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area was first defined as a census-designated place (CDP) for the 1980 Census, and as of the 2020 Census, it had a population of 6,518. The community sits at an elevation of 5,787 feet and covers an area of 2.65 square miles. In 2014, a portion of Stratmoor was annexed by the nearby City of Fountain, including a commercial area with a Walmart and Sam’s Club (Wikipedia) (Uncover Colorado).
